Adding back plate
Every time I try to put the backplate on my mk3s extruder it causes a bind and the extruder wont slid on the rails any ideas ?
RE: Adding back plate
Don't tighten the screws as much. This is a "normal" behavior with the MK3S ... apparently worse if you printed it yourself.
There are two modes though: one is the clamp force can compress the bearings so they drag on the rods - similar to the U-bolt issue on Y. But another possible mechanism is the distance between top and bottom bearings being off - and this is from printing on a printer with a calibration problem.
RE: Adding back plate
Can you post a picture of your extruder without the backplate?
RE: Adding back plate
Please ignore me I was a dumbass and too long screws and they were in the belt channel pushing the belt out !
RE: Adding back plate
I had a case were the Nylon Filament Cable guide went to the belt area instead of the hole for it and blocked the belt. When I figured that out I fellt like a dumbass not taking enough care in assembly^^
