#2's back on line

I bought one i3 Mk3 last autumn, liked it so much that I bought another. The #2 I3 Mk3 worked fine for a week, then i came home, had a stalled print and an extruder fan error. I turned off the fan alarm in the menu, started again, noted the fan was turning as it should. I checked wiring, everything was okay, so I ordered a new fan.

I restarted the print and went to bed. Woke up the next morning to find a stalled print and a completely plugged extruder. I pulled the filament out, checked to make sure that the feed rollers were okay. ran the temperature up to 280 degrees, attempted to push the obstruction out with a 1.5 mm wire. That didn't work.

Disassembled the extruder, tried to pull the PTFE tube out. No luck. Ordered a new extruder.

The fan arrived in a week from order date. So did the extruder.

I just spent the day putting things back together. I ran into an X-axis failure - ty-raps needed to be trimmed, and a filament detector error. It helps if you plug the thing in.

After that, self-tests passed, printed a flawless test cube.

What worked? Excellent instructions. Also, rapid shipment of orders. It's somewhat startling to this old guy that you can place an order to Prague and have it on your doorstep in southwest Louisiana in a week.
