Re: Moon lamp

German subforum, German speaking 😉

Also in deutsch :

Oh, I have just recently bought myself a moon lamp and it is an amazing thing that creates a nocturne atmosphere!

@andersonjoan

I would also be interested! Would you post a picture of the lamp switched on?

Apologies, as I don't speak German.  Google says -- "Ich spreche kein Deutsch".

However, I recently printed three of these moon lamps.  Some pictures during printing...

Close ups of the surface...

With the lamp turned on...

I used an RGB smart bulb for the illumination, so I have full color control.

The moon was printed in 3D Solutech White PLA, at 0.2mm layer height, two perimeters, four bottom layers, five top layers.  Print time was about 49hrs.

I gave up trying to get the stupid forum software to display the images correctly.  Click on them to see how they should look.  Here is a Google photo album with all the pictures as well:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/QpUMMV4DthXCjCDw9

RE: Moon lamp

I really think you had a great idea by making moon lamps with the help of a 3d printer. I'd also like to have a 3d printer, so I would make a lot of similar moons with different sizes and colors. I have an unusual one which is my favorite ever! My boyfriend gave it to me as a present for Valentine's Day. It is a photo moon lamp with our photo on it. Can you imagine? It is so cute and thoughtful of him! Anyway, I'd like to make my own little collection of moon lamps...
