Sequential Printing?
Hey guys, this is my first post. I'm fairly new to 3d printing, and am working on a project that requires a stop so I can drop an object into a cavity and print over. Everything's working great when I do one at a time, but I'm wanting to do these in batches. Here's what I'd like to do.
1-print each of the pieces up to the point I drop the object in (in whatever order)
2-finish the tops of each piece one at a time. (I get weird stranding/bad adherence if not one at a time)
(pause for filament color change)
3-finish print with new color in any order
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance!
RE: Sequential Printing?
I believe M600 does not work with sequential printing

RE: Sequential Printing?
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll do some research and familiarize myself more with M600.
RE: Sequential Printing?
why not use Pause, instead?
saves messing with filament
Are you aware of the Prusa Knowledgebase for Prusa Slicer?
https://help.prusa3d.com/category/prusaslicer_204 I had a quick look for Pause... and didn't find it.
Have a look at this youtube, it may help

No, I'm doing a normal pause too. But I need to do an actual filament change several layers after that for the logo.
Yeah, I did some searching first before coming to the forum, but didn't come up with anything either.
Thanks for the YouTube link, and for your replies! I'll watch the video.
RE: Sequential Printing?
WHen you do a colour change the extruder moves to the right, the y axis moves back, and the printer bleeps,
follow the instrustions. change the filament and the printer Poops on the corner of the build plate.
RESIST THE TEMPTATION to pull the poop off the build plate, Just hold it in place, then press the LCD Button, to complete the colour change and return to the print.
As the extruder moves back to the print it Poops a little more filament, which, if you have resisted the temptation to pull the initial poop off the build plate, will remain attached to the initial poop, and pull off the nozzle....
Otherwise you have to play catchup with the nozzle and try to remove it before it is wiped off on the model
