Octoprint Filament Sensor Runout Setup

Hey Guys,

have been trying to get this working and got very frustrated over time. Hope for your help!

My target is to setup a filament sensor which pauses the print, let me unload the rest of an about to end spool and reload a new one and then resumes the print.

As far as I can tell there is one plugin called "Octoprint-Filament-Reloaded" (Link: https://github.com/kontakt/Octoprint-Filament-Reloaded which is mainly used for this purpose but I could not find any approriate GCode to properly execute the task.

There is either the option to setup the GCode right via the plugin itselfe or let it pause the print and then progress via the general GCode Scripts.

Again, I could not find any fitting GCode handling the task so far and would be grateful for an advice!

Thank you very much in advance!

André

The M600 routine includes movement of the bed to position the printhead in the front right corner. If you remove the xyz values it should work fine.

Dear BillCampell,

thank you very much for your advice.

Indeed there was an issue with the filament change position causing the head "crashing" into the side before. This is working fine now, thanks.

However I still running into an issue I had before which is an loop of triggered filament changes. Means that after loading the new fillament, priming the nozzle and moving back to the last print position, the frinter will initiate just another M600 command.
This problem is allready known and in discussion here:
https://github.com/kontakt/Octoprint-Filament-Reloaded/issues/22

Please see the issue here:

Any ideas?
