FR4 build plate mounted with adhesive tape possible?

Hi there!

Would it be possible to use a FR4 build plate which is mounted with 3M 468MP tape directly on the original heat plate plate after removing the PEI sheet? Will the PINDA probe still work? I guess i would have to adjust the z-offset, but am hoping that otherwise this could work well? Might be a good alternative to steel sheets, even though you can‘t take it off.

Thanks in advance!

I use the BuildTak sheet on an MK3 build plate.
It worked after I lowered the PINDA a bit. But it depends on the thickness of your sheet.

1.5 mm FR4. Attached with clips on top of the standard build plate. Pinda still works (but not a lot of margin left. a 1mm plate is probably better). Works perfectly with PLA and PETG. I never have to use any adhesives and the prints are usually already seperated after cool down. Be careful that the nozzle doesn't hit the clips after the homing procedure.
