Z-End stop doesn't work
I just finished assembling Prusa i3 MK32 and ran the self test routine from settings menu.
The X and Y axis end stops worked fine but Z wouldn't work. The probe keeps touching and hitting the heat bed for few seconds and then stops and the LCD shows the messages that says
"Selftest Error!
Please check:
End Stop Not Hit
Motor Z"
So basically the probe touches the bed but somehow doesn't trigger the end stop. I have checked the connections inside RAMBo and everything looks fine. Another person cross verified the connections and they look fine.
Has anybody faced this issue? How did they fix it? Any suggestions whats going wrong?

What happens to the nozzle? Isn't it lower than the probe? If you put metallic thing under probe does it light up red?

Yeah, you probably have the probe set too high.
Start with the probe less than 1mm higher than the nozzle and work from there.

I see that the probe is light up red without touching the heatbed. When I touch a metallic thing, it turns off the red light.
I observe that when the probe touches the heatbed, its slightly outside the laminate area, on the edge, should it touch the laminate area? In that case I will have to move the bed assembly slightly closer to the control panel. Please suggest.

The metallic thing shouldn't touch the probe but be very close to touching and the light should turn off, does that happen? The probe should never touch the heatbed. The nozzle should be slightly lower than the probe so I don't see how it could touch the heatbed since the nozzle would hit the bed first.

It seems that the self test routine is designed in a way to keep the nozzle out of the heatbed while probe tries to touch the heatbed. Thats why the nozzle doesn't hit the heatbed.
My principle question here is, for the heatbed, its most of area is laminated and about 5 mm of width area from front and back non-laminated. Currently my probe touches that non-laminated area and doesn't trigger end stop. Should it touch (or almost touch) the non-laminated area for it to trigger end stop?

I think your Y axis is way off then, if the probe touches down outside the PEI surface of the build plate... It should lower itself and touch in the circle on the PEI surface. Y Axis being off was the main reason for this issue. It was off about 20mm, when adjusted correctly the z probe started activating end stops. Thanks guys for the help.
