Z-Axis frame: Floating or sitting on surface?

Hi

I have been wondering this since I got my printer.

Should the Z-Axis frame be sitting on the surface, same as the 4 corners of the base?

Or should it be suspended by the threaded rods?

I have the little foam pads on the 4 corners of the base, and the Z-frame sits basically on the zip-ties that go around the bottom of it. There is a tiny gap (piece of paper barely fits) on the right side and the left is on the surface.

Now, if i print the anti vibration feet (or use some I found usefull with my last printer) it would lift the Z-frame of the table.
Is that good? should I put something under that too, so its on the table again?
Or is it supposed to "float" only suspended by the rods in the base?
