XYZ Calibration poking holes in bed
👿
I thought I was done with issues after experiencing some level of reprieve but alas, this was short lived.
My MK2 runs 3.0.9. After deciding to do a routine calibration this morning, when moving to calibration point 4 (right center point), the printer went and pushed down the bed and then proceeded to scratch the film severely (pictures attached). I noticed it did the same thing with the very center point of the bed which I think is point 5 thus it would appear it starts doing this when it moves to the center row of calibration points.
I'm at a complete loss. Find attached a bunch of pictures depicting the various components and the damage. I'm certainly desperately in search of some form of explanation since I can't auto calibrate anymore.
Re: XYZ Calibration poking holes in bed
pretty sure i've seen this picture before. you are not the first one with this problem.
but i think they've done something against it in the latest firmware (3.0.10).

Re: XYZ Calibration poking holes in bed
Upgraded firmware and also lowered PINDA even further, about 1mm offset from nozzle tip. It finally calibrated successfully with no report of axis skew this time!
Thanks!
