XYZ calibration fails on 8th cal. point
My MK2 printer is not calibrating. Even with various PINDA heights, the printer will always pass the first 4 calibration points, then 7 of 9 and will literally push into the bed with the nozzle on point 8. Firmware update did not help. I have noticed that the X axis is inclined forward (in the direction of the LCD) a bit. I would like to but do not know how to fix this. If all else fails, is there a way to calibrate the printer manually?
Re: XYZ calibration fails on 8th cal. point
Hi,
I had a similar problem (heatbed was always moving aabout 1 cm in direction of the LCD (Y-axis), when I hit the ""Home-Position" (calibration menu). In addition, the XYZ-calibration failed and the nozzle hits and scratched into the heatbed. This is because the pinda does not find its coresponding mesurement-point at the heatbed, as long the bed is in the wrong position.
Have you performed a selftest before performing the XYZ calibration? I assume, you will find out that this might not go through and you will receive error messages (different error-messages like "Motor - X - Endstop", "Wiring errors", "Loose pulley", etc. , when you try it several times). What helped at my printer was to disconnect the endstop wires from the RAMBo and performed the self-test to provoke an error message. After that, bended the pins very smoothly to be sure, that the connectors had a good contact and then I re-connected the wires. Then, the self-test and the XYZ-calibration went through and I could print again.
Maybe that helps you as well. If you like to try it, maybe you can post your results. Thanks.
Good luck.
