X/Y axis probelms, Slow Z Axis, Enlarged Prints

Ive been having a few problems with my i3 Mk2.
The first problem happedned a long time ago. I was trying to print a little rectangle about a centimeter long and two wide. I calibrated the printer and started the thing up, and left to eat dinner. When I came back, part of the bed was destroyed. The weird thing is the depression in my board is all the way to the left, and massive, about 8cm by 3cm. In Cura, the rectangle was the correct size and right smack in the center of the board. The extruder nozzle carved a path through the film on top of the board all the way down to the PCB below.
I have also had an extremely hard time getting my first layers to stick, and I have found substantial warps in the print board, and have not been able to adjust for the warps with tightening the anchor screws or calibration.
I took a break from my printer after this, but eventually got back to it. When I came back, I had a calibration issue, but no real problem: just restarted the printer and recalibrated again, like I usually do. I made a few small prints, but nothing too big. I noticed the quality wasn't the greatest, but I decided to print the castle that came stock on the SD card that came with my kit. The first layers seemed to be fine, but in the morning, I woke up to layers skewed, and fuzzies everywhere. Since then, I have fixed my leaky head, but haven't been able to figure out why my layers were off centered. I have found no successful solutions to this on the internet. I have found that this typically happens on larger prints.
One of the axis, typically right before a print, is super slow. When I tried to calibrate the printer today, it took a good ten, fifteen minutes to get the extruder to the top of the printer from the bottom, and have been getting similar speeds on the other axis' when they decide to be slow. I have looked on the internet for a while about this, and most people are saying that I put the wires in wrong, or the steppers are malfunctioning. I have been unable to find a solution for this problem though. The wires are in the correct position due to them always moving in the correct direction. There never seems to be a pattern to the slow speeds, but after a few resets, the Z-Axis still wants to be slow.
I decided to test the other axis' today, and they all seem to work fine, but upon moving my X-Axis past the center of the board, the Y-Axis moves a bit. I am using the software on the printer to move the axis. The Y-Axis seems to move perhaps half a centimeter, maybe more. I have not been able to reproduce this, but it boggles me on what to do.
A few times, the little display on the front of the printer displays random characters, in no apparent order, for a while. Turning off the power and back on seems to fix it.
All of this seems to be a problem with the controller board, but I was wanting a second opinion. You guys have more experience with printers than I, and possibly have solutions to these problems that don't include getting a new controller board. I have gotten around 6-7 good prints since having this, and I have had it since last April. Anything helps!
