X-Axis stepper moves only one direction
I could really use some help. I am putting my Mk2 back together from the S upgrade (for what it's worth) and have everything back together. The problem is when directing the X-axis to move it will only move in one direction, not back and forth. I've tried replacing the stepper motor (Prusa does not sell them) had to use an after-market unit. I tried replacing the cabling and the connector with no change in results. I tried re-downloading the firmware but since there is no checksum I cannot be sure my new download is clean. In any case it did no good. I'm at the end of my rope. I really hate the thought of getting a new controller. Does anyone have any suggestions? And, yes, did try different cable combinations to no avail. This damned thing just does not want to chooch! 👿 🙄

Seriously, nobody can take a few seconds and generate a checksum of the latest firmware? Some "community." 😮

Re-read your original post. Nowhere did it ask anyone to create a checksum. Also, you need to be specific as to which version # and board.
