Why are prints turning out like this?

It's almost like it starts sliding off for some reason. It appears to do this regardless of the type of PLA used, or the size of the print. On the left side, there was a print from before I had recalibrated the printer, so it is possible to print this design correctly:

the smaller area of the finger is carrying more heat that cannot be dispersed fast enough you need to either lower the temperature as the finger starts upwards, increase cooling or slow down the layer speed, or a combination of all 3 allowing more time for the layer below to cool down. the twisting is from the layer below retaining too much heat and the nozzle movement together with another new hot layer of material moving everything as it passes pulling the plastic in the direction of nozzle movement because it didn't have time to cool down enough to stay solid as the nozzle passes with another new layer of plastic.

depending on your slicer software you have options or you can hand edit Gcodes at different points. you could also print 2 hands at the same time which will slow down the layer time. you could include another smaller tall object as you print so when it gets to the finger it again slows down layer time.

You need to change your slicer settings to account for the smaller object and give it time to cool.

To help you we need to know what slicer and what setting you are using. We need to know which nozzle cooling funnel you have on your printer (is it a MK2 or MK3? Stock funnel or upgrade?)

As daniel.a6 says it is about speeds and temps and cooling.

You have provided us no information to work with.

If Slic3r, check out the section under:

"Filament Settings" -> "Cooling" -> "Cooling Thresholds" This allows you to change the setting for smaller objects to give it time to cool.

From what I am seeing, I think your actual nozzle cooling funnel is not directing cooling air flow correctly. Is it stock or changed or warped? Do you have a sock on the body? Are you printing inside an enclosure?
