Where do I find the Z nut?
Hey! I've been building a MK2 clone from scratch, and everything is going well. I've decided to to replace my M5 threaded rod for the Z axis with the new standard T8 lead screw. I'm using the X ends from the MK2, and it turns out that the lead screw nut is not the standard size for T8 lead screws. I need a nut that's 25mm across and 19mm between diagonal holes. The stand size is 22mm and 16mm.
Where can I find this nut in the US? If I can't find it I have to print all new X-ends, buy and cut new smooth rod, and buy and cut new belt.
Re: Where do I find the Z nut?
I designed them printable for me, using them for about 2 weeks without any problem.

Re: Where do I find the Z nut?
Seems like the friction would wear out a printed part quickly. I'll give it a shot though while I'm looking for a metal piece. I'll let you know how it works out on thingiverse. Thanks!

What is "quickly"? I can see no wear after about 80 hours of printing.
If you are concerned about wearing out, print them from nylon. Original MK2 nuts are nylon as well.
Brass nuts are quite loose on the screw, there is significant play in Z axis. Consider getting anti-backlash ones.

Wow. Holy Crap. That explains so much. This entire time I thought those nuts were aluminum. Wow!
