Tried printing with ABS, now nothing will stick
For some reason I cannot get anything to stick anymore, and every print fails. This started happening right after my first try with ABS (Which did not stick).
I tried cleaning with ISO alcohol. Even PLA won't stick anymore.
Are there other things that I can try?
Re: Tried printing with ABS, now nothing will stick
has the z distanced changed for some reason.. is there enough "squish"?
Re: Tried printing with ABS, now nothing will stick
It actually has, you're right - I dropped it and it seems to work. Thank you! I didn't think that it would have changed at the same time... quite the coincidence.
This actually brings up another questions - If I go by the manual, the filament is supposed to be "squished" by about 30-40&. If I set it for that, it just pulls up. I have to set it to squish to a flat line (ie 90% squish) for it to stick. Am I doing something wrong, or is this typical & the manual is wrong?

To be honest... don't know.. i just do it be "looks perfect-ish".. if it does not work as good as i would like i just try again... for me the v2calibration don't work to well... can't get used to it somehow... i just start a random print and test, abort, adjust, and test again (if there is a need for z axis adjustment) 🙂

I have the same problems, and found 2 things:
1) there seems to be a very small range of z-height where the filament sticks well. even adjusting live adjust less than 5 mirometers can make a difference. If it doesn't stick, go up (more space between head and bed) first, see if that hepls.
2) increase bed temp. Its curently cold where I live, and where my printer sits. I have to print PLA with 65c bed temp or lose adhesion.

I also find that after printing with ABS I clean the bed with Acetone before printing with PLA. I find IPA doesn't clean the ABS residue left behind. Only do it when the bed is cold though.

OK, thanks so much for the help!
