Thermistor Broken Seeking Help

Hello guys,

Recently I forgot my Prusa i3 MK2S running without any eyes on and the thermistor cable broke. Photos are linked in the attachments. I see "Err:MINTEMP" on the led screen. Can anyone help me where I can find new one online and any other advises are highly appreciated!

Thanks,

Bahadır

Why not just taking the ends that are showed in the picture and wire them with the other ends? For a quick repair you can peel off the isulation by 10mm (4 ends) and make a connection by rotating the one pair. Before isolating the connection make sure that you choose the right pair of ends. Normally the temperature drops instead to increase when "+" pole is crossed with "-" pole.

Re: Thermistor Broken Seeking Help

the thermistor is not polarity conscious. but the wires tend to break off right next to the casing, making repair difficult

identical spares can be bought from Prusa,

suitable spares can be bought from E3D directly, but they will have short wires and a connector which you usually cut off so that you can solder the wires to your existing wires, using heat shrink tube to insulate the joints

there are suppliers in the us, but I don't know them

If you are in the US, then I get mine from MatterHackers. Currently $9.00. It includes an extension cable which does fit into the Einsy/Rambo board. No cutting/soldering required. It is non-keyed but, as Joan mentioned, that is not an issue as you can plug it in either way.
