Swap or trade 2x 1kg ABS filaments UK Only
I have 2x ABS filaments that I purchased with my machine. I dont seem to get along with the filaments and have the printer & software setup for different printing.
I have a yellow and a black. Both just opened and used about 1 meter 😮
Up for a swap for something else. What have you got?
Deal to be sweet on your end compared to mine so would be happy for a 1kg swap for my 2kg 😉 or maybe a spare part for the MK2 (not a printed one) what have you got?
OR failing that give me a price.
Would save it sitting here not being used. Black been open for about a week, yellow I tried today and gave up as I did not want to be messing with my settings.. Been wrapped back in the bags with desiccant bags and boxed so should all be good.
As mentioned UK only I am afraid.

Hi Ben,
Why do you want to get rid of your ABS, is it because of issues using it or because you want to give priority to other filaments ?
I've been printing with a lot of ABS with success and sometimes with some issues, but that could be fixed after some analysis. I love ABS for it's capability to be smoothed by acetone and by the good stability in relative high temperature environment.
Maybe you want to discuss about that to overcome your issues ?

I do print in ABS all the time without problems but I use a certain make of filament which I have managed to get the settings pretty much down to perfection and I have not had any problems for a few weeks now that I have had it set up. I do not ever need ABS juice or glue either.
I tried with this make and it just does not act the same as the stuff I currently use and I honestly do not want to be going through changing settings or having to add ABS juice etc. Although it may be simple to some, for me I like to stick to what I know if that makes sense 😳
As I only have 2 rolls of this ABS I feel it makes sense to as you say prioritize my current ABS over this.
I would be up for a swap for a PLA or something else. I have plenty of ABS though. I thought I would ask here as you guys and girls may already use it and have the settings down to a fine art for it.
No issues with using it or setting it up as I am sure plenty use it without problems. I think the only problem on this occasion is me be lazy 😕 😆

I suspect this swap will not happen here. I maybe wrong, but you having trouble with this ABS filament does not sell it maybe to others. Cut your losses and move on or be very lucky 🙂

Are others having problems with Prusa supplied ABS filaments then?
I was not having problems with it. I just need to mess about to set it up and I am just too lazy.
