[Solved] New MK2, cant print, calibration problems, please help me fix this,

I've been trying to calibrate my MK2 for days now, still no luck.

1st Calibration had the following to say:

"X/Y skewed severely. Skew will be corrected automatically."

I have not corrected the X/Y axis yet.

I was instructed by Prusia Support to raise the probe as indicated in: https://d17kynu4zpq5hy.cloudfront.net/igi/prusa3d/r4LCH6yWJ6f1lUm4.large
(Thats how it was when I first built this)

1.) 1st Probe Adjustment:
The probe was too high, the nozzle touched the paper on heatbed

2.) 2nd Probe Adjustment:

Looks like you should raise the probe even more, it should align, maybe 1-2 mm

After that, use the Live Z Adjust, just when it starts to print the calibration pattern, until you see a nicely squeezed string of plastic on your bed.

Re: New MK2, cant print, calibration problems, please help me fix this,

The black tip of the probe should be about 1mm higher than the tip of the nozzle which, on mine at least, makes the top almost exactly as shown in the assembly manual. Once you've got that right so that it finds and verifies each of the 9 points without the nozzle touching the heated bed print the V2 Calibration file. While it is printing use the Live adjust Z option to lower or raise the nozzle until the line is nicely squished as it prints (see 6.3.9 First layer calibration (kit only) in the 3D Printing Handbook. Repeat until you are happy with the results, then start printing the Prusa Logo file from the SD Card. Again, while it is printing the first layer you can use the Live adjust Z option to get it looking as good as you can. Once you are happy stop the print out.

You are now ready to start printing!

Still working on calibrating this. Non-Stop.

Progress:

1.) I've managed to perfectly set the probe
2.) I think I've overcome the learning curve of adjusting the z level.

Still trying to fine tune the z level. But I can see progress is being made.

The last line of the v2 calibration gcode now sticks and doesnt lift like in the pictures.

Re: New MK2, cant print, calibration problems, please help me fix this,

Adjusted Z level to -647, that did the trick. This problem is officially solved.

Printing at default PLA settings : 215C Extruder, 55C Heatbet without glue, or any other hacks, just straight unto the build plate.

Thank you both 3Delightm and Patrik.R for your help! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Great that you got it sorted out! 🙂
What I also do is (especially when I print complex first layers that really needs a good adhesion) that I lower the speed alot as soon as the print starts, down to 40-50%, to be able to really fine tune to Z height. When the first layer is done I'm turning up the speed to 100% again. The settings do slow down the speed of the first layer by default but for some prints its not enough
