Silent mode failes to find home possition
Hi,
After a recent rebuild of my extruder assembly, I found that silent mode failes to find home position, this works fine in high power mode. The motors go pull the extruder to the left but start making a noise as if there is an obstruction. Same goes for the heated bed assembly. Only thing that is common between the two is that I had re-installed the belt. Could it be that I have applied too much tension to the belts? Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Hilmi
Re: Silent mode failes to find home possition
You'd need a heck of a lot of force to overtighten the belts to get that point imho.
Two ideas:
1) Check if the ends of the belt sticking out from the carriage are too long. I've had this problem and ended up having to shorten them
2) The wire bundle in the back might be bumping into the side blocking further movement.
Re: Silent mode failes to find home possition
That was the first thing I checked. I am currently running a print job (using high power mode), I will try again once that print job is done, I will also record a video and load it on YouTube so it is clearer what I am talking about should the problem not be resolved.

Check that the Y belt pulley is not too close to the motor body.
If it is, you will need to move the motor a few millimetres to the right and then re-align the pulley.
