Screws loose often?

So I posted an issue with my heater thermistor grub screw becoming loose and causing problems the other day. Now, I noticed that I am having issues with my live Z adjust seeming to change. Then I noticed that I could push my PINDA probe up and down with minimal force. So, I had to tighten the two screws holding the probe (MK2s style).

So, how often should I be checking for screws working loose? Which ones? Is this normal?

hmmm.... I wouldn't say that this is normal, it depends how secure the screws have been tightened before.

but for the P.I.N.D.A. probe holder at the mk2S I was never conviced with its design. I would recommend to wrap a layer of adhesive textile tape around the threads of the probe, to get a decent grip, before fixing it with the two m3 screws.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Good suggestion! I torqued the screws as far as I dared (any further I was afraid of damaging the structure of the extruder part). Even after a good torqueing I found I could move the probe with a little force (a lot less than I would think it should take). So, I added some tape to the barrel of the probe. MUCH tighter fit. Not at all concerned about it moving now.

odd. When I needed to move my pinda probe, I removed both screws and had to pry the plastic open with a screwdriver before I could move it. Im guessing when you inserted the pinda probe, you didnt force the plastic open, but "rammed it" in, stripping the internal threads?
