"Rough" surface on edge of flat print
Hi!
I'm currently trying to print a case for some hex drivers I have, but am running into issues:
The "rough" edge pictures here is supposed to be flat. It happens only on this side, the other side prints how it is supposed to.
I am currently printing with PLA with the bed set to 65 and 210 first layer / 195 all others, I have the fan set to 'off' for the first 3 layers and then on for all others.
Here are my Slic3r Prusa Edition settings (for some reason it wouldn't let me upload more images):

I've also had some bad bed adhesion issues, currently the print that I am referencing for this I had to use hairspray on the bed to get it to stick, could these issues be related? I had originally thought this was related to poor bed adhesion, but it sticks with hairspray and the issue has persisted.
From another failed print:

Let me know if you need any more information.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks
Re: "Rough" surface on edge of flat print
I would print something from the SD card to determine if it is your printer hardware, or your slicer software.
Any advices given are offered in good faith. It is your responsibility to ensure that by following my advice you do not suffer or cause injury, damage or loss. If you solve your problem, please post the solution…
Re: "Rough" surface on edge of flat print
Hi Jeffrey
It seems the over-extrusion occurs only some mm over the bed... 🙄
It's exactly my case also... Did you fixed this issue ?
Your Slicr parameters are more or less the same.

Re: "Rough" surface on edge of flat print
Hi Vincent,
your prints really look horrible.
what are your slic3r settings ? especially fill density and infill overlap ? number of outer perimeters (vertical shells) ?
did you calibrate your extruder (search for the 10cm trick) ?
are all the pulleys and bells "tight" (ohne Spiel) ?
does your filament run smooth from your spool ?
furthermore: how does the print of *.gcodes look like that came with the printer (for example the prusa whistle) ?
dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
Re: "Rough" surface on edge of flat print
Hi
Fill density is very low (10%) and vertical shels is set to 3.
What is the infill overlap ?
Yes, extruder has been calibrated (85 mm consumption for 100mm asking) but I have the same result with extrusion multiplier = 1 (under extrusion)
I will check the pulleys ...
but my belts are very tigh. I didn't found the way to find out the right strain !
Thank for your help and ... Happy new year !

Re: "Rough" surface on edge of flat print
.... By the way, infill overlap is 25% !
