Replacing PEI sheet discoloration

I'm replacing my PEI sheet, and have the old one off. After 3 rounds of soaking paper towels with Goo Gone, I still have some discoloration on the PCB where the glue stuck to the board Vs. where it didn't (see Pic).

It isn't sticky, and I can't feel any height change when I run my finger across an edge - I can feel the white silkscreen more than this. I've tried soapy water, denatured alcohol, and Acetone to try to clear it.

I don't think it's going to affect the adhesion of the new sheet, but I'd rather not be reminded of the "weekend I had to replace the sheet" forever.

Any other suggestions on how to remove it?

Thanks!
Mark

Re: Replacing PEI sheet discoloration

there is a good tutorial in the help section here provided suggesting to use "limonene" for removing the glue
which in my opinion is the only solution for it. (did that myself, already)

Re: Replacing PEI sheet discoloration

D-Limonene is the active ingredient in Goo Gone that I used. It's also got some petroleum stuff in it to make it penetrate a little bit. http://www.oregoncoastcc.org/wp-content/uploads/files/maintenance-and-janitorial/goo_gone.pdf

I haven't found any pure Limonene locally, and I don't want to wait too long for Amazon. It's not sticky at this point, so I'm just looking to make it pretty before adhering the new sheet.

Thanks!

This ended up being moot. As the new sticker went on, it made the surface uniform.

I did get some air bubbles from between the traces, but they don't seem to affect heating/print quality. I'm eventually going to get the 2.5 upgrade for this printer, so I can live with this for a few months until the money tree blossoms.
