Replacement Nozzles

Hi,
I have a feeling this is very noob question but I need to replace my nozzle (ideally from Amazon.ca).
What am I looking for in a new Nozzle? As far as I can see there seem to be a couple of different shapes

Shorter 'nozzle' in relation to the screw thread (this looks the same as the stock Prusa one)
https://www.amazon.ca/Atoplee-Printer-Extruder-Nozzle-1-75mm/dp/B01ABBMU5U/ref=sr_1_20?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1489071839&sr=1-20&keywords=3d+printer+nozzle

Longer nozzle in relation to the screw thread
https://www.amazon.ca/CNBTR-Yellow-Printer-Extruder-Nozzle/dp/B01EYJM3HK/ref=sr_1_23?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1489071839&sr=1-23&keywords=3d+printer+nozzle

What should I be looking for? Any keywords I should use when searching?
Thanks
Dave

Re: Replacement Nozzles

E3D V6 Nozzle is The Keyword.
I Tried a Nozzle From Microswiss, worked, but if i would like to Use it Anymore, i Need to Change the Slicer Values.
so i Use The Original, Buy an Original and u don't Need to Change values by ur own.

Re: Replacement Nozzles

if we're talking here about a nozzle for the prusa i3 mk2, then you need a nozzle for the E3Dv6 hotend.
the cnbtr is for another type of hotend, but it looks like the atoplee will suit (looks very similar to the genuine one), but take care about the "nozzle diameter" (the diameter of the bore hole at the tip, -> the mk2 is usually delivered with a 0.4mm tip).

have a look here, or here (both ship globally).

furthermore there are some things to consider if you change the nozzle (you need to tighten the nozzle when the hotend is at its maximum temperature and it should "kiss" the heatbreak inside the heater block, so that there is no gap between tip and heatbreak.... otherwise you'll get a leaking hotend).
have a look at thomas sanlanderers video here.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Re: Replacement Nozzles

I tried a search on Amazon.ca for E3D V6 nozzles and my results there are none for sale.

I bought my spare nozzles and other spare parts from https://spool3d.ca/
I have only bought one roll of PLA and TPU filament from them but they are good quality. They purchase all of their filament from what it says on their site.

I have been buying my filament from https://filaments.ca/ and their own brand filament (which they manufacture themselves) is very good. I mainly use PETG and it comes in 1 kg rolls, so cost isn't bad (at least for Canada).

Voxel Factory https://www.voxelfactory.com/ where I bought my printer from, just added another line of filaments so I may purchase from them next time. It is the brand of filament they shipped with the printer and was good quality too.

There isn't a whole lot of choice for retailers in Canada and these three are about it for me.

Re: Replacement Nozzles

I've had no issues ordering replacement nozzles from Spool3d. They sell genuine E3D products.

Happy Printing.
