Replacement bearings for MK2s

My Y axis was making a lot of noise so I purchased Misumi bearings to replace the stock ones. The Misumi bearings are even louder than the stock ones!

What are the best bearings for the MK2s for the Y axis? Where can I get them? Should I also replace the rods with stainless steel ones? If so, which ones for the Y axis and where I can order them? I am looking for long lasting and quiet ones!

Thanks!

I know there are lots of opinions on this matter.
And still I dare chiming in....
I have been pretty well satisfied with the IGUS RJ4JP-0108 either in an other printer brand and especially here in my MK2S as well.
Maybe one would like to check on my things here. (y-axis) https://www.thingiverse.com/blackbird2016/designs

Especially the x-axis works quite well with those bearings and the zip-ties....

Yeah, same... pretty much garbage. i don't know what the appeal is. they come all nice in a package but they're tolerance is worse than the prusa stock and they're louder/vibrate more. waste of money. (i have like 12 of them and they all do so it isn't one specific bad bearing or anything)

That being said, RJ4JP-01-08 works. don't get the ones in the blue case, they have too much slop and the bed will just wiggle around, also some beds grooves might be slightly out of alignment. mine were and caused minor binding with the blue ones. The RJ4JP-0108 is the one you want and print housing/brackets for them so there is equal pressure along it.

I got new rods when i bought the misumi's but i've removed the bearings and used RJ4JP-0108. you probably don't need new rods with Igus, they just slide on them. it won't make noise after that.

The X seems to just work, it could be minor misalignment in Y assembly or weight... hard to tell, easy to just throw on igus instead. however one of my Z bearings rattles/vibrates.
