Removing PLA remnants from I3 MK2s PEI sheet
Hi All,
Have done some printing of sample models supplied and they work great but have noticed that after removing the model there is some bits of
PLA remaining on the bed. They appear to be really stuck. How do i get this remaining material off.
It appeared to be in a small area when the skirt was layed down. 90% of the skirt was correct and small portion seemed to be thin and its here where it
is really stuck. I also have another small area of the bed where it has also has happened.
My prints so far have been good but would like to get this surplus stuff off. Would love to know why some PLA seems to be left behind.
Thanks and bear in mind i am new to 3D printing.

That does sound strange.
Maybe you can post a photo?
Usually, you can just remove small PLA blobs or strings (or the skirt) with your fingernails.
If its stuck so much that that doesn't work, maybe try a credit card or similar.
Only resort to metal implements if all else fails.

Thanks Mavu,
Tried finger nails but this just made a shiny mark. However the credit card did the trick. Any ideas why some bits would stick so much more
than the rest.
