Random under extrusion
Okay, first let me say that I am totally new to 3d printing and have only been at it for a week. I have got the printer pretty dialed in I think. Then I noticed this which I believe is under extrusion. I am new like I said so I am not up on the technical terms. I thought this might be a fluke so I change the orientation of the print in the slicer and printed it again. It did it again but in a different place on the print. So I designed the part from scratch again and printed it again. Pictured is the last print. I have isolated it and know where this will happen every time. It happens at the beginning of the layer. This is where the layer stops and starts. Is there a simple fix for this? It is a totally usable part and I will put it to use but I am kind of a perfectionist.
The first photo is zoomed in on the problem area. The second photo is of the part and the pencil is pointing to the problem area (It's a pretty small area).

Update: Problem solved. This was caused by Z hop. The remedy was to not lift the extruder upon finishing the thin layers. I am not sure if that is the correct method of going about it but it worked so I am content.
