Printing large gcode files (9MB)

Hi

I'm new to 3D printing, and I have a large model I want to print on my mk2s, - the .gcode file is aprox 9MB in size, and when I selected the print from the SD card, the printer hangs at 0%, - it has been like that for almost 30 minutes now.

Is there a maximum size of the gcode that the printer can print?, or should I just wait a bit more for the printer to process the gcode

Best,
Marteinn

never mind, - my bad, - the .gcode file had an icelandic letter (unsuported character) in the filename,

the file prints now rightaway.

keep this post for others to see if they get into problems with unsupported characters in filenames.

Glad you found it. You might want to make a new thread with to subject: SOLVED: Bad character in filename

That way some searching might find it. A 9MB file, is very small by the way. I do much larger routinely.
