Printing 3DBenchy

I got my printer kit last Wednesday and got it printing yesterday. Today I printed 3DBechy test print in 3 hours and 16 minutes. After removing the support structures the boat seemed to be quite fine. See pictures!

3Dbenchy should come out well without supports, that's why the model is designed the way it is designed - to test capabilities of the printer.

hi martti,
➡ i would recommend to check out philipp's settings for the 3d-benchy.

these settings deliver astonishing quality (even @ 200µm).

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

It printed well without supports about an hour faster. 🙂

I also print the 3DBenchy 🙂

Without supports and brim. I got some warping in the left front side.

(silver PLA from Prusa)

Re: Printing 3DBenchy

I printed de Benchy in different layer heights. Interesting results :

Look at the banding in the lower boat hull !

I also recognized much less stringing and better bridges in the 0.20mm layer height.

There are some more pictures. If you're interested I will it upload too.
