Print head contacted bed during calibration - What now?
During calibration (XYZ), the print head ran itself down onto the bed and left an area of about 1"x2" marked up. In a couple of places it left some pretty good sized dimples.
What do I do now? There is obviously some problem in the calibration routine where it drives the head down into the bed whenever the PINDA probe cannot detect whatever is embedded in the heated bed. It should stop and ask for some verification or error out - not drive the head down even further.
Am I out out a heated bed? Can it be repaired? Is this a warranty issue?

I kinda doubt the bed itself is damaged. The PEI sheet possibly needs to be replaced though. Care to post a picture?
Set Z-adjust back to 0 then rerun calibration. Now, we've seen these kind of issues when the probe was mounted too high. Maybe trying lowering it for a tiny bit.
Also issues like this occur if the probe is at the 0 position when the bed heats up. My fix was to make sure the head is way off the build plate during heating.

I had this same problem - turns out my Z brackets on the top were installed upside down so the "known distance" the axis traveled to activate the PINDA probe was less than was in the calibration routine.
Luckily I only caused damage to my PEI sheet on the outer corner and doesn't effect printing.
