Print Detachment Fail

Hi,

A few days ago I had a print detachment on a long print which lead too, PLA getting stuck all over the nozzle, I was able to clean up most of it but there is still a clump of filament in the back at the bottom, next to where the wires are.

Are there any good ways to get rid of it ?

Re: Print Detachment Fail

have a look here inside this forum at the related posts, as you can imagine you're not the first one with this issue (and not the last).
there are several reports about lumps and blobs....

best method would be to use a hot-air gun @ approximately 80°C, heat up the pla filament (which would get viscious above 54°C) and peel it off layer by layer.

and, last but not least: get your first layer adjustment as good as it gets to avoid that this happens again.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
