Round edge print removal tools. These two are the most important in my opinion:

M3 screws, different lengths.

Loctite.

Digital calipers if you plan to design stuff. Get two: a small one and a larger one that is the size of the print bed or bigger.

Are you getting the kit or factory built? If factor get a spare y belt holder.

Find some way to get the pinda protector in PetG or ABS

If you can, get the extruder body (two pieces) printed in ABS or PetG.

You may not want to turn on the printer until your print bed is covered with blue tape (the stuff from 3M works, most others don't).
Only remove the blue tape after you have printed 10 objects without issue. Many users have given their MK2 battle scars in learning the in and outs of the printer or not having all the pieces placed correctly ( this includes me ). Biggest mistake is not running autohome after hitting the cancel button.

Find some way to get the pinda protector in PetG or ABS

If you plan to only print PLA, with the bed at 55, then PLA is fine for the PINDA protector. In my experience it doesn't get warm enough to worry (perhaps 30-40 C).

BTW, I ordered some plaTEC to print the extruder. IMHO it is enough for a spare.

My experience with the pinda and PLA has been different. I was printing an object and part of the model had multiple strikes to the nozzle and pinda. The pinda protector fell off from the strikes. I think if I had not caught the failure the pinda may have caught the model and broken the holder.

I have also found this happening more when filling the plate full of parts. My other 3D printer can only print a few parts at a time but the MK2 with mesh leveling... just awesome.

I run the printer almost every day with new print models so depending on how you use the printer the pinda may not be needed.

If you will be printing long jobs, I would recommend getting some way to remotely view the print job. The easiest is a baby cam monitor but you will need some way to stop the print which is why I run OctoPi / OctoPrint.

Thanks everyone.

I have ordered some of the things listed.

Where would you get spare thermistors from? I guess E3D would be one such place. But any other places like ebay, or are they custom made specials?

I got my extruder Thermistor from E3D however it still has the plug and socket connector that prusa now replace with a joint... so you will probably have to sort that out if you buy from E3D.

Surprisingly it is available locally for me. I am actually quite surprised what I can obtain locally. I thought everything would have to come from overseas.

As I just learned (the hard way) yesterday, add a few meters of 6mm GT2 belt to your list of spare parts.

Well So far I have got some socks, a thermistor, blue 3M masking tape, some kaptan tape, acetone, three spare genuine E3D nozzles, nozzle cleaning drills, bowden PTFE and a couple of fittings, spare PEI for the table and locally au made filament I already have hand tools for assembly and have ordered some spare timing belt. I forgot to get some isopropyl alcohol. So I will just clean it with rum, it is alcohol. 🙂

I did not bother with bearings as I suspect a lot of issues are lubrication based.

Here is hoping the printer gets sent next week.

💡 cooling spray would add nicely to your list. you can use it sometimes to help removing the printed part from the pei sheet.

What sort of fuses do the electronics use? There seem to be many types these days. From the round glass ones of big and small size to the automotive blade type which also come in at least three sizes.

I would add a small clipper to your list. The kind used for trimming the leads off of soldered through-hole component, if you need to cut a zip tie and don't want to risk damaging the wires.
