Polymaker PC-MAX Print settings?

I'm struggling getting a good print with polymaker PC-Max material. I've tried settings recommended by Polymaker, and tweaks based on feedback I've found from users of other printers that they have had success with, but so far no luck.

Using the settings recommended from polymaker (80 degree bed, 260 degree nozzle, raft, 90 mms speed, .8mm retract) the print does great for the raft, but once I get up about 10 layers or so if it's a large print, it starts to warp and the piece peels away from the raft. Other settings have yielded worse results, lots of blobbing and stringing.

I think I'm going to have to build an enclosure for the printer to keep the temps up and more even. Has anyone found something that works without building a print chamber?

Thanks!

I have not yet tried to print PC-Max but I am very interested in your experiences. Thanks for starting this thread!

Questions:
What are you using a sbuild plate? The original PEI sheet of the MK2 or some BuildTak as recommended by Polymaker?

Based on the information I found, an enclosure should help a lot. This can even be big cardboard box for trying it out.
Kwwp us posted and good luck!

Photos would be great too to get an idea of what kind of parts you are printing.

Printing PC Max und PC Plus is no problem. Use the stock Prusa settings for PC-ABS and slow down speed to 50%.

But, use gluestick on your heatbed !

I'm just using the standard heatbed, no gluestick, nothing special at all. Have had zero adhesion problems at both 80 and 85 degrees.

I ended up building an enclosure for the printer to keep the heat higher and more consistent, and using the settings recommended by the manufacturer I'm getting good prints. So, the ambient temp was key. I was HOPING to avoid that which is why I switched to this from ABS. I'll probably still use it though as it seems even stronger than ABS and there's no bad odor when printing like there is with ABS.

Re: Polymaker PC-MAX Print settings?

Slic3r settings for the Polymaker PC-MAX are working perfectly fine for me.
The only thing I had to adjust is bed temp 105C all the time.
Additional things:
-> Regular PEI sheet, glue stick applied
-> Enclosed printer (>40C)
-> Print speed 40mm/s max
-> Temp: 270C/105C
