PINDA Probe height in relation to extruder nozzle
Although I am fighting other calibration related issues now... On my first prints I was unable to print anything large or multiple parts because the PINDA probe made contact with already printed lines and pulled them up.
My question is
If the nozzle is touching the print bed, how much higher than the print bed should the PINDA probe be? Can be in mm or a reference like the thickness of 2 3x5 note cards, a piece of paper etc...
Using the reference given in the manual is tricky since the top of the probe is clear, and the reference point on the printed part has a brim.

I'm not sure yet what is the "official" distance, but in my case it looks like around 1 mm.
At first I was way higher and the PINDA didn't probe well, having often the extruder pressing the heatbed during calibration.

I'm not sure yet what is the "official" distance, but in my case it looks like around 1 mm.
2mm works for me. Generally higher is better, unless the nozzle touches bed during calibration. Higher clearance of probe above printed object gives advantage of less risk of colision in case of printing problems (raised corners for example).

about 1mm worked for me!! Finally printing. Thanks for the info. Why do they not share this in the manual? Would be most helpful.
