PINDA Probe askew?

This is almost definitely a stupid question, but I was wondering...

I haven't gone through the advanced calibration stuff to manually raise or lower parts of the bed yet (that's a project for the weekend), but I still have some bed leveling issues. I realized the other day that the PINDA probe is not exactly perpendicular to the bed, that it's slightly tilted. (This is on a pre-built MK2 as well). Since it's firmly held in place with Loctite, that can't be adjusted. Would that be related to potential error in the measurements during the 9 point calibration that could cause an uneven surface? Or does it not really matter because it would be triggering based on the same probe angle every time?

Re: PINDA Probe askew?

It shouldn't make any difference as long as it's not to badly skewed. If Prusa assembled it, locktited it in place, and tested it OK then you should be fine.

As long as the sensor picks up the bed at the right distance it doesn't really matter how skewed it is in theory. It's probably more likely to be the live adjust z-axis settings that you need to tweak a little. Just take it slow and patiently and you'll get it spot on in no time...
