Noob quality question
Edit : I don't know why, but the pixs dont seems to appear. Could anyone help me how to host a pic on the forum ? Thanks.
Hi everyone.
I got a mk2s for one week now. I'm quite happy with the kit assembly and I start printing really fast, not encountering major disturb.
Now that I've seen a bit what the printer could do, I try to umprove the quality of my prints.
My question is about the top layers of my prints.
In my example, it's supposed to be flat (it's part of a scenery). Here is the stl file view.
On my print, the top is looking like a tiny grid, not so regular-flat.
My question is : is it possible to get something really flat, or will there always be a "pattern" on the upper face ?
I was thinking that the "lines" will be on the side, but not on the top.
If you think I could do better, what are parameters I could try ?
Thanks a lot.
Re: Noob quality question
Your pictures are not showing.
Why not attach them here directly?
Below the text box is the ribbon "attachments"
As a S3D user you could well start with the profile from here https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/simplify3d-print-settings-august-30-2016--t938-s310.html#p60401
One may even find S3D for free in the well known places, at least for testing purposes...
Re: Noob quality question
Thanks. My pics are now in the first post.
Is S3D best thant Slic3r ?
Re: Noob quality question
All slicers have a different set of features...
The best one is the one that works best for your current model and pocket...
Unless you know what you are doing. Start with slic3r pe edtion or prusa control
