New printer help

I spent the weekend building my new Prusa i3 mk2. I'm new to 3D printing and so far it's a great experience.

One concern I have is a high pitched electric sound coming from the Rambo enclosure. The sound goes away shortly after preheat. I know there are a few issues with PSU and power connectors on the Rambo board. I've found other issues in the forum with the thermistor. Should I consider soldering both power and thermistor to the board?

Thank you for any insight or reassurance.

Re: New printer help

Hi Johnn, I would suggest not soldering them to the board, as in most cases this is not necessary. and doing so, may void your warrantee, and will make subsequent dissassembly more difficult.

Thanks for the reassurance. I've watched Joe Prusa's post assembly check list video. I think I will check the security of the connectors as he suggested. It seems worth the peace of mind.
