New Fillament Feeding Lean

Hello,

So I have built the my Prusa i3 MK2S and it had been printing very well with the included PLA filament spool. But recently I purchased some ABS filament online to get more colors and not it seems to be printing lean, not extruding as much filament as would be expected. I tried to print a miniature watering can, and the bottom ended up pores, like a screen mesh. I can see light through it and it does not hold water either. I measured the diameter of the filament and compared it to the filament included with the printer and there is a 0.03 mm difference. I'm thinking the difference in amount of material being extruded is due to that. I'm new to printing but am thinking that this difference might be pretty common going between different filament manufacturer brands. I see in the Slic3r program, that there are many different filament types and brands to select from, but obviously the programmers couldn't include every single manufacturer.

My questions is, using the Slic3r program on the Prusa website, is there a way to create a custom filament where I can increase the extruder flow rate for the brand of ABS I am printing with now?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hi Jared

I suppose you use the correct temp settings for ABS.
Take a look at below for tuning the extruder:
