Need Replacement Fan
I accidentally broke off one of the blades on the extruder fan while trying to clear a jam. 😥 Two questions for the community:
1) What are the specs for the fan so I can purchase a new one? Or can you point me to how to find them?
2) Is it dangerous to run the printer this way until I get my replacement? The fan still seems to work, though it's a bit noisier and obviously wouldn't be as efficient.
Just to be clear which fan I'm talking about, it's the one on the left side of the extruder: https://d17kynu4zpq5hy.cloudfront.net/igi/prusa3d/PRsSHPgmS4PpE3rv

Re: Need Replacement Fan
Thanks, David. It helps a lot knowing that there's an "official" E3D fan. Based on that, I also found this source: https://www.matterhackers.com/store/printer-accessories/e3d-12v-dc-fan-30x30x10mm
I'm in the USA, so I'll keep looking and figure out which one gives me the best price/shipping cost/shipping time. Thanks again!

In case anyone else needs it, here's another source I found: http://www.makerfarm.com/index.php/hot-ends/e3d-hot-end-parts/e3d-fan-12v.html
Re: Need Replacement Fan
Nice one. 🙂
Re: Need Replacement Fan
When I did that, I trimmed a bit off the two blades opposite the broken blade. Which improved the imbalance. So I could use the printer whilst waiting for the replacement.
