Need help adjusting nozzle height

Im going to star printing some abs etc. I bought a piece of borosilicate glass but I'm not sure how to readjust the nozzle height due to the added thickness of the glass. I tried going to the sd card with the gcode adjust and moved the nozzle really high with the live z adjust then went back
and ran the test again to fine tune and it almost pushed the nozzle thru the bed. If someone can list the correct steps thanks

Impossible. You'll have to print ABS directly on the bed, that's why we do have PEI sheet on its surface. 😉 Don't worry, ABS sticks well on it.

Inductive probe triggers at about 2mm height. You would have to use glass with thickness of 1,5mm or less to be able to use it, which does not make sense.

If you insist on using glass for printing, you'll have to find another type of inductive probe and make corresponding tweaks on printer to make it work.

I can say from experience that even 1.5mm is WAAAAAY too much. I replaced my PEI sheet with one that is .76mm and it caused me much headache. I do not recommend any replacement bed material more than .5mm, and that is including removing the old sheet.

Yes, I think the probes trigger at 1mm. I've got PrintBite on my MK2 which is 0.8mm thick, leaving me just 0.2mm of room for the adjust the probe to trigger without crashing into the bed. Doable if you have slip gauges to hand. Otherwise I would definitely stick with the PEI sheet.
