My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
I have made some modifications to my Prusa MK2.
1. Z-axis stabilizer
2. Smaller PSU on the backside of the printer (otherwise the stabilizer wouldn't fit)
3. Cover for the print bed connector
4. Fork-Spool Holder and spool kernels
If there is any interest I'll put the STLs into thingiverse
Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
Wow, a number of changes.. . very Interesting, how has it helped?
Can you put your STL's on thingiverse?
Thanks
Foo
Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
... tried twice to upload info + stls but thingiverse went down and all input was lost.
Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
... just the STLs

Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
Cool. Wouldn't moving the spool off the frame improve stability though?
Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
Wow. Radical axis support. What is the difference/improvement over the MK2 power supply and now standard support? Are your prints better? Have you a before and after example of your prints?

Re: My Modifications / Improvements of the MK2
The power supply had to be removed because of the stabilizer threaded rod. Therefore I looked for a compact solution and I found a smaller 360W PSU with active cooling fan. It makes more noise but keeps much cooler when printing long ABS jobs.
BTW: I'm using the Housing_for_RAMBo_mini_1.3A by wfvn to get space for the rod on the other side.
... here some pictures. (Sorry for the dust)
