Multi material upgrade kit
I ordered a multi-material hotend/extruder late last year and am wondering if anyone has hear any updates on where Prusa Research is with their development.
I see the order page shows Jan 2017 as shipping date, but mine hasn't shipped yet.
Has anyone received their order?
Is there any more info showing new objects printed with this upgrade?
Any new info?

I also ordered it a while ago. I don't blame Prusa for beeing late BUT I blame them for such a bad information policy! No information is always much worse than information you might not like but at least can get an idea whats going on. It doesn't take this much time to send all the people who ordered it a short email with some information on the status. They have all the information at their fingertips.

I totally agree. Unfortunately, it is not for me to guess such information. And when I signed up for the beta, I certainly was not expecting to still be involved in the testing more than 2 months later.
So far, it has cost me a significant amount of time and the volume of filament used has been quite substantial. However, don't take my comments as any form of complaint; I have really enjoyed the whole experience and have printed many interesting models.
FWIW, I did purchase the upgrade before being advised that I was to be included in the testing, so I guess I did receive what I paid for.
You asked about time difference with Adalind; unfortunately, I can't tell you that simply because I have not sliced and printed that model at the scale I printed the 4C version. In any event, the timings during testing are not really relevant with the on-going software/firmware development.

Thanks for your reply PJR. Thankfully I read all unread posts. I nearly missed your comments regarding the multicolour Andalina. 🙂
Re: Multi material upgrade kit
I was told in the support chat, that mine would ship "beginning of February", and I ordered mine a couple of hours after it was launched.
But lets see. My last order took 5 days to ship, even if everything was in stock, when i ordered...

Why does it start to smell bad?
Re: Multi material upgrade kit
I would love to help with the testing for this kit. Hopefully it will ship soon ! I have been printing for a couple of years now with my kit built makergear m2 and always had to pause to switch filaments. The new quad color kit is exactly what I am looking for !
Re: Multi material upgrade kit
I just emailed Prusa support about my multi-material upgrade. Maybe if we all do the same, Prusa will send an update to all of us. I'll be patient. 🙂
Re: Multi material upgrade kit
From their Facebook replies to other people's comments on their posts it sounds like the multimaterial could start shipping today, but those comments have been known to be wrong. It would be nice for more transparency especially when something gets pushed back multiple times.
