Mk2s leaking above the ally ext block
On long jobs i am getting excess build up of filament on the ally block that holds the nozzle. It appears below the cooling fins and pools on the ally block top. Eventually it drips down and hangs off the bolt behind the nozzle like a iceikle thus catching jobs and causing imperfections.
Is this a common issue and does anyone have any advice how to sort it? The printer is absolutely fantastic so far apart from this issue and i have been cleaning the area when pre-heating to stop it affecting short jobs as a needle file picks it up nicely in lumps.
Any advice would be very appreciated as i can not see any areas where it could be loose etc thus causing a leak

dissassemble the extruder, taking care not to damage the heater cartridge and the thermistor (especially fine wires.
remove waste filament,
if desired use coppaslip or similar high temperature lubricant on the heat block threads and non setting heat sink paste on the cold end threads
insert nozzle all the way into the heat block, then unscrew nozzle nozzle 1/2 turn
insert heatbreak into heater block, all the way,
reassemble other components,
restore extruder to printer,
heat extruder to 240 + degrees,
tighten nozzle against heatbreak, whilst preventing the heat block from rotating, using a spanner on the heat block, and a socket spanner on the nozzle

Hi Mick,
I haven't studied the ruby nozzle if it's 6mm thread was slightly shorter than the original nozzle, then the ruby nozzle could have tightened against the heatblock before the end of the nozzle sealed against the end of the heatbreak tube, which could have been the root cause of your issue

I suspect that is the case as i installed it pretty much from new. It did screw in until it hit the block and the standard nozzle had a little gap when tight so it may well have shorter threads
