MK2 nozzle damaging bed

I have had the MK2 built and calibrated for a few days, and I have a very frustrating issue that just popped up this morning. After several flawless prints, the pre-print level check all of the sudden the nozzle dove into the bed and really dug into it. What the hell?

Check out the picture. Do I need to replace the bed now?

Hi, this can happen if the PINDA is a bit too high, it can for some reason not being triggered each time, then the nozzle go down and push the heatbed.

Do not worry too much, if the PEI is just pressed you can still print on it, it will flatten eventually a bit after some prints and heat cycles.

There is a nice groove and the pit in the center feels like it has dented the bed. the whole area feels uneven. Ive been printing smaller models, but im scared to do some of the calibration routines, especially the XYZ Calibration that was running when this happened.

I had the same exact issue and it wasn't the PINDA's height in my case. If it was the PINDA, then the nozzle would have dug into the bed the very first time I set it up. For me, I was able to calibrate perfectly right after construction and print several things before this issues happened. In my case, it appears to be a software issue where after stopping a print randomly, the printer fails on the initial bed calibration prior to the next print and a recalibration of the XYZ causes the nozzle to drop and dig into the bed in the exact same spot yours did. I'm not sure what PINDA circle this is called by Prusa but it's the fourth one that gets tested. The PEI is not only damage but so is the bed. It has bulges and deep grooves where the nozzle dug into it:

I have been in contact with Blas from Prusa support email and chat but so far the only thing offered in way of support is the same PINDA test and no talk about a replacement bed. This is definitely a warranty issue in my case.

I had 2 fails in the same spot. Knackered 1 PEI sheet and rucked up the 2nd but still just about usable.
Something not right. Had been printing for weeks the second time with a Z -175 offset when it just decided to go dig a rut.

The fact that I'm reading posts about people having the same issue, in the same exact spot, is definitely concerning. Who's to say it won't happen again and support is not helping. Blas from support basically just told me I'm shit out of luck because I'm a kit owner. Honestly, that's insane to me because this is definitely a warranty issue regarding software/electronics. Blas also asked me if I had anything else shipping to me soon so I'm now wondering if support doesn't want to ship me out a bed because of shipping costs. I hate to say this but I might have to go through my CC company to get this sorted. It's also worth noting that I've never had other 3D printers do this and I've seen some weird stuff.
