MK2 FTW!
Ok, so i was pretty disgruntle after receiving my MK2 upgrade for my MK1. I have prided myself in the last 6 months for being an expert in bed leveling/calibration with a standard business card. I knew my MK1 inside and out and i was very successful printing ABS, Taulman PCTPE, and Alloy 910 (with the E3D FULL extruder).
The build/rebuild process was what i expected. It took sometime and attention, but was not a big deal. Where I had issues was with the initial calibration and setup. No big deal looking back on it now, but i was very frustrated at times. I really just wanted to "manual" adjust the print bed like I use to. After I calmed down ( a few days later) i took the time to properly zero the X and Y axis and make sure that my CAL probe was on Spot. I'm still fighting an obnoxious Y axis vibration noise (kind of noisy), but it is worth the end results.
I'm now successfully printing abs, Taulman PCTPE and Alloy 910 without a hiccup. Thy Nylons do require a coat of PVA/gluestick to adhere that first layer properly. The ability to increase the extruder temp to about 265C has helped tremendously with alloy 910.
I've been slowly turning up my print speed with great results. Really look forward to future updates and the growing of this product.
