Metallic PLA Load Problems

I bought some copper and brass 1.75mm PLA and when I try and load the filament the hobbed pulley slips when pushing the filament into the heated extruder. The filament feels very slippery to touch compared to the regular PLA. Has anyone had advice/success using this filament with the MK2?
