layers shifting during print

i am a new prusa owner and 3d printer, the printer prints great but i have had some issues where the print layer shifts during print, it has happened a few times but it has happened on prints that take a long time 4-5 hrs and it happens towards the end of the printing, i have no idea what the problem is, has anyone ever encountered this and what is the fix.

Re: layers shifting during print

don't know in which orientation you've printed the parts.
so either your y-axis or your x-axis is blocking (to hard to move) while printing.
maybe something interferes with the movement (e.g. the cable harness).
or one of your pulleyes is not fastened secure.
or...

there are a lot of possibilities.

did this happen only in silent mode, or in high-power mode as well ?

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

belts are not tight and moves smooth, nothing is interfering with movement, i never changed the silent mode , power mode and i believe it is set to power mode, i'll try that. On smaller printers it prints with no problem its just with these larger prints where i'm having a problem. I printed the dragon when i first built the printer and that printed perfect and that's a tall print. I'll double check everything again.
