Just built. Easy question.

Let me just say that I bought the kit and it went together super easily. I only made 2 mistakes in the build. In both cases, it was a 10mm vs 12mm screw issue. They are so darn close in size that I got confused. Anyway, nothing that was hard to fix and the circuit board instructions were great!

I have some 3d print experience (I've had M3D for about a year), and the Prusa is just so much more impressive. Anyway, I accidently messed with the speed setting (turned the dial while my print was going). Can anyone let me know what the default speed is (ie the speed that shows on the LCD display of the MK2)?

Hi Adam,
the default speed is set in your slicer of choice.

the value on the LCD screen, is typically 100% when you turn the printer on, and the knob lets you speed up, or slow down the print in real time.

where as changing the speed in slicers would require re compilation of the g code, and restarting the printer...

you may want to slow the printer ( <100%) to check squish on the first layer, or to improve first layer bonding to the work bed...

toy may want to speed the print up, (100%+) if you are making a quick check piece, or if you have set the default speed too slow...

best wishes, Joan

Thanks. It was set at 80% on the LCD. I was not sure what it was originally. I will try making it 100%.
