Infill not printing in straight line
Hey there!
I had an Issue with the Heatsink in which the filament got stuck so i changed the PTFE Tube and tried it out. I also applied so mechanics oil into the bearings and upgraded the firmware to the latest.
Now to my question:
Everytime i try to print something my infill lines are getting really weird and not straight. My outer lines are getting shifted as well. What is my problem? I have absolutely no clue... I tried and checked everything...
Hope you guys can help me out!
Kind regards!
Re: Infill not printing in straight line
Looks kinda like layer shifting to me, if you are running the newest Firmware you can run the "Self Test" to see if the X or Y axis fails.
You can also check the belt tension.

Thanks for the reply!
I did a selftest After the Firmware Update and the Factory reset. Belt tension is okay as well...
Re: Infill not printing in straight line
Having had your extruder disassembled to change the PTFE most likely your E3DV6 is not sitting properly and loose in the extruder body.
It in my experience is not as tight in the housing , anyway.
I use to insert a small piece of fine sandpaper in the upper ring of the housing before inserting the Hot(cool)end.
Prevents wiggling and twisting.
In any case, this is something mechanical loose here...

Thanks for the reply!
I think its something mechanical, too. I checked every part by trying to shake it but nothing moved. Maybe the problem is that i am using a third party hotend and heatsink? I had to replace my old one a while ago. However I did use the third party stuff with the old firmware and it worked perfectly...
I really have no clue...
Re: Infill not printing in straight line
After your replaced the hotend did you run the "XYZ calibration" again?
If not then set your Live-Z to 0 from the settings menu then under Calibration go down to "Reset XYZ Calibration" then run "XYZ Calibration" again.
After you replaced the hotend something may have been knocked off from the old Calibration that is messing with it.
You could also try turning the speed down on the printer to say around 60% on a test print to see if that fixes it if so then it will help narrow down the issue,
Re: Infill not printing in straight line
Problem solved!
Somehow the Pulley of the Heatbed got loose which caused the problem... didnt know that can happen.... sorry guys 😀
Re: Infill not printing in straight line
Good to hear it was something simple, at least now you know and have some experience diagnosing the machine 🙂
I like to check on all my bolts and nut on the machine once a week to see if any are loose just a precaution.
