Inconsistent First Layer

Hello all. I am having a hard time getting my first layers set. I will do a live z calibration and all is well. Then, I shut my printer down or try to do another print, and my calibration is off again. I do not understand what I need to do to get a consistent first layer. Tips?

What do you mean by inconsistent?

Any by calibration being off again, so you mean your live z-level is back to 0.0?

As in i print something and the first layer is perfect, and the next time i go to print the first layer is awful. this isnt something where the value resets, rather the value stays the same and I have to adjust on top of it.

Is your PINDA probe security mounted? If it moves, then that will change your Z-Cal.

As i understand the live-z is that it needs to be saved if you change it.
Take a look here : http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html#p35950
A very easy way to get the live-z tuned in and saved. I think JeffJordans G-Code is on page 4 (Thanks for this one).

Also, i have noticed if i the PINDA is to close to the bed between prints it seems to give a diffrent live-z height.
I raise the print head to +100 while the hotend and and bed heats up. This seems to give me quite consistant first layers.
