I think the USB connection doesnt work on my printer
Hello, Ive been using the SD card but need to test settings from Simplify3D and its a real pain to keep sending gcode back and forth along with swapping the card. So i tried the USB and not only isnt it connecting to or detecting the printer but it doesnt even make a sound nor no window pops up indicating I have plugged in a USB device.
- My PC is brand new
- Ive tried multiple USB ports
There is zero indication I have attached a device.
Any suggestions or help?

Once connected, you should have an additionnal COM Port. Launch the device manager, sort by connection and check in COM Port if an additionnal port is present.
If not, try to change USB cable, or to connect it to another computer to check if it's related to your PC.
Not much more idea for the moment 🙁

Thank you, I actually see it in the device manager "Original Prusa i3 MK2 (COM5)"
I got it connected now that I knew the COM5 as the port, though had to try every single Baud rate 🙂
